Reports about Courier/customs-fee SMS impersonation (Example Entity)

Similar SMS received two weeks later, this time impersonating a private courier brand and referencing a real order number I had recently placed elsewhere, which made it look credible. The linked page requested a ₹150 'customs clearance' payment via UPI rather than card. Paid via UPI before checking the courier's real tracking page directly, at which point I found the actual shipment had already been delivered days earlier under the correct tracking number.

Received an SMS claiming a parcel addressed to me was held at customs pending a ₹249 'redelivery fee,' with a link styled to look like an official tracking page. The site asked for card details to pay the fee. Entered the details before noticing the URL was not an official courier domain; contacted my bank immediately to block the card. No unauthorized charge went through, but the attempt matched the exact wording described by others who lost money to the same message template.
