Joined a Telegram group offering paid 'tasks' — liking videos and submitting screenshots — for small daily payouts of ₹150–300, which were paid out reliably for the first four days, building trust. On day five, the group admin said higher-paying 'combo tasks' required a refundable ₹5,000 'account activation deposit' to unlock, promising it would be returned with the next payout cycle. Paid the deposit; the admin left the group and the group itself was deleted within hours.
